MERP25 User Guide: WhatsApp Verified Contacts¶
The WhatsApp Verified Contacts list is your specialized registry for managing which individuals and business partners are available for WhatsApp communication. This ensures your data is clean and that you follow messaging best practices.
1. Viewing the Contact List¶
This list provides a centralized view of all phone-base contacts that have been synchronized from your CRM and Accounting modules. - Verification Status: Clearly marks contacts that have a valid WhatsApp account. - Opt-in Status: Tracks whether a customer has agreed to receive automated documents (Invoices, Receipts) via WhatsApp.
2. Managing Contacts¶
- Verification: The system periodically checks contact numbers to see if they are active on WhatsApp. You can see the last verification date on each contact card.
- Tags: Organize your contacts with tags (e.g., "VIP", "Wholesale") to help your sales team target the right audience.
- Bulk Import: New contacts can be imported via CSV or synced automatically when you add new customers in the Masters module.
3. Why Verification Matters¶
WhatsApp enforces strict rules on business messaging. By maintaining a Verified list: - Higher Delivery Rates: You avoid sending messages to landlines or inactive numbers. - Account Safety: It prevents your business account from being flagged for "spamming" invalid numbers. - Professionalism: It ensures your documents are reaching the primary mobile device of your customer.
[!TIP] Automatic Sync: Any changes made to a customer's phone number in the Masters > Customers module will automatically reflect here within minutes.
