MERP25 User Guide: Notifications & System Alerts

Notifications are the system's way of providing you with real-time feedback on automated tasks, background processes, and important status changes within the ERP.

1. Understanding Alert Levels

Each notification is color-coded to help you prioritize your attention: - [CRITICAL] (Red): Requires immediate action (e.g., "Failed to deliver urgent invoice" or "Subscription expiring today"). - [WARNING] (Amber): Information that might cause future issues (e.g., "Partial stock arrival" or "Approvals pending for over 48 hours"). - [INFO] (Blue): General updates on your business operations (e.g., "Batch processing complete" or "New CRM lead assigned"). - [SUCCESS] (Green): Confirmation of a successful business action.

2. Notification Scope

The Scope tells you who else can see the notification: - Global: Sent to everyone in the company (e.g., System maintenance). - Module: Specific to a team or module (e.g., Inventory, Sales). - Personal: Only visible to you.

3. Auditing Past Alerts

The Notification History page provides a full search-able audit trail of every automated message. This is useful for verifying when a specific system event occurred, such as "When was the month-end payroll processed?".

[!NOTE] Automatic Cleanup: To maintain system performance, notifications older than 90 days are automatically archived. If you need older data, please contact your System Administrator.
